I have worked within the mental health and wellbeing sector for 30 years. I have experience of a number of contexts including student pastoral care, NHS, social services and Christian settings. I am therefore familiar not just with a wide range of diagnoses but also the support systems available. I have worked alongside anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bi-polar, personality disorder and neurodivergence.
More recently I have worked part time to provide 24/7 care for my Mum with dementia and rare physical disease. I have thus gained hands on experience of both dementia and the stressors of being an unpaid carer.
Outside of work, I enjoys exploring the coast and countryside, being creative and seeing friends / family. I am a firm believer in the wellbeing aspects of nature and am happy to run face to face sessions outside.
